Branston, the UK’s favourite sweet pickle brand*, is adding to its chutney range with the launch of Dorset Ale & Apple Chutney, available in ASDA stores nationwide from Saturday 21st July for an RRP of £1.49. Taking taste inspiration from traditional British ingredients, it is made with sweet and tangy onions, British apples and Dorset brown ale. The chutney pairs perfectly with cheese-based dishes and snacks.
The number of microbreweries in the UK has risen dramatically in the past years, with craft beer consumption continuing to grow across the country**. With consumers increasingly conscious of the provenance and craftsmanship behind the products they buy, Branston has released its new Dorset Ale & Apple Chutney to satisfy the appetite of those seeking an authentic and original taste, alongside the quality the brand is renowned for.
The chutney is made with Good Food Wines Ltd.’s “Food Friendly” brown ale, brewed in the heart of Dorset. Selected by Branston for the quality of its ales – produced using only the finest malts and hops – the ale is dark brown, mild and slightly sweet, with enhanced malt, fruit and toffee notes, balanced by a light bitterness. This makes it the ideal complement to the other hero ingredients in Branston’s chutney: British apples and tangy onions.
