Meatballs with Chilli Dipping Sauce Recipe

Made with Mizkan Teriyaki Sushi Sauce

Teriyaki Sushi Sauce


For the sauce

  • 2 spring onions
  • 1/2 tsp minced fresh garlic
  • A little fresh red chilli to taste, deseeded and finely sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 4 tsp rice vinager
  • 4 tsp Mizkan sushi sauce
  • 2 tbsp water

For the meatballs

  • 260g minced beef
  • ½ small red onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 deseeded red chilli finely chopped
  • Rapeseed oil to cook


  1. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small, lidded container or jar and shake. Chill until needed.
  2. For the meatballs, place everything in a food processor and pulses a few times to thoroughly combine all the ingredients together. Form approx 8 small bitesize meatballs with your palms.
  3. Fry in a lidded non stick pan for around 5 mins on each side on low-medium turning once, until they are cooked through and dark brown on each side. Serve alongside the dipping sauce.
